ABOUT US
This group was formed through the shared vision of two individuals and a small team driven by a passion for helping and uplifting those less fortunate. What started as a simple desire to make a difference has grown into a meaningful mission to support, motivate and mentor those in need with special attention to children.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED IN THE GROUP
In 2011 when the seed of philanthropy was planted, we had 19 members, in 2012 we saw that fellowship grow into 28 members and further growth in 2013 to 34. Now in 2025 we are thrilled to have our group grow into more than 50 people who share our enthusiasm.
MEMBERS AGE RANGE
Our dynamic team of individuals range from 12 – 50. Our younger members are the relatives of senior members who are encouraged from an early age to become involved in charity and understanding and appreciating the value of simple things.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU ALL TO DO SUCH
We thought that we should do something different. Let’s give back to the community. We are all professionals and have gained so much from the community at large; it was time to start giving back. With our deep love for children and a great aspiration to help those in need we started forward and never looked back. The overwhelming support we received allowed us to easily reach our goal and allowed us the privilege of doing more that we imagined possible. This year and in years to come, we will continue to grow and expand our arms to homes and people in need throughout the nation.
WHAT ABOUT THE NAME TRINI ANGELS
Our team of 8 core members gathered and embarked on a brainstorming session, with so many passionate individuals we had many options and put to a vote and a unanimous decision for the name “Trini Angels” was made, from there the group was formed and began to grow and thrive. The name was self-explanatory.
Christmas 2011
We successfully treated and distributed individual gifts to four (4) homes with approx. 90 children.
We also, on that same day visited an old friend from work who had retired the year before. On her street, we distributed over 75 gift bags to passer bys on the road, who stopped to meet Santa with their children.
On the way back to home, we stopped in the street leading to our destination and distributed over 50 bags to the children of the neighborhood who were most excited to meet Santa.
We did an evening of Caroling with the Barrackpore Union Presbyterian Church. Trini Angels teamed up with their Choir and we went on the road for a 3km Caroling expedition. Santa was with us giving out gifts to all the neighborhood children.
There were other projects completed during this year, but due to the nature of these donations, we would like to leave them anonymous.
Christmas 2012
We successfully treated and distributed individual gifts to Six (6) homes with over 100 Children.
We had Skits and story ready time with the children
We did a Surprise Christmas Santa appearance at the Barrackpore Union Presbyterian Church for their Christmas function.
Christmas 2013
We did things different this year for Christmas and brought all the Children homes to one location for a full day of fun activities, games, shows, food and drinks and of course Santa with gifts.
This year we catered for seven (7) homes and over 120 children
This was a huge success.
